Aircraft also revolutionised the Franconian model manufacturer Herpa. With the introduction of the Wings product line in 1993, Herpa became known worldwide in the model scene. There is hardly an aircraft that Herpa does not reproduce in small scale.
The model range has been continuously expanded to include aircraft types from civil and military aviation, airlines and accessories for airport dioramas. In the 1:500 scale alone, more than 3,500 models of over 100 different aircraft types and almost 600 airlines have been created in 25 years.
But variety is not the only success criterion Herpa can look back on. The permanent quality improvement of the models and the increasing detailing also speak for themselves. With its high-quality and detailed aircraft models, Herpa has undoubtedly set Standards.
